Right now the biggest problem in my life is that the pastry place that Nikki always got the pasty hookup closed and the donut place on my way to work hasn’t opened up yet so right now there is no pastry thrusday at work. Its a serious fucking concern. Looking back though, that place giving Nikki a free box of pastries every thursday maybe didn’t have the wisest business strategy…
Had a shit day at work so I was looking forward to Jeff and I’s usual pit stop home of pizza [at straight from new york] and beer [from franklins] but it looks like another favorite spot is going out of business so now I’m short one bar and I’m already short one pizza place [church street, same owner as franklins.] So we go to f/stop which has great beer and a fire pit but it always feels like we’re invading on a group of regulars there who aren’t exactly welcoming [I actually had a chair pulled away when I went to sit next to the fire because it was saved for someone. Really?]. We ended up at the usual place [dive bar down the street from our house] and all was good. But still…I want to like it here. I want to like the people. But damn its hard to adjust to small town where everyone knows everyone and you’re the one late to the party and holy shit I don’t want to be in your “super cool” group, I just want to go somewhere to get a beer, eat some pizza and not feel like a fucking martian.
Picked up Books of Blood because of your comment, only a quarter through the 3 volume set but at this point I would HIGHLY recommend it. Going to finish this and move on to The Hellbound Heart. Thanks Mitch!
